To be matched...

In order to be matched with any of the children on this site,  the following must be met...

Due to the requirements of the one-to-one agreements, MAA must try to place the children with families who are MAA clients before releasing their files to other agencies.

MAA must keep these one-on-one relationships with the orphanages intact in order to help more children.

Therefore, if you already have a dossier logged in through another agency, these children are not available for matching with your family at this time.

We welcome new and returning client families who can be matched with these children by submitting or re-using a dossier through MAA.

A Family Information Sheet must also be completed and sent to MAA  before a child can be placed on hold.  You can complete a Family Information Sheet by clicking HERE.

All of the children posted are assigned to MAA's individual list. Many of these children they have met in China during one of their Camp programs.

**Madison Adoption Associates is supporting one of their partner orphanages in China by providing BRIGHT FUTURE GRANTS for the children who are waiting for a home. Their hope is that each child will be blessed with a family and a bright future. The BRIGHT FUTURES GRANT reduces the agency fee by $5000; the total agency fee will be $1500. The Social Welfare Institute has also agreed to reduce the orphanage donation for these children.**

MAA has "One-to-One" Agreements with several orphanages in China. These agreements allow MAA to have exclusive access to the waiting children of these orphanages. DUE TO THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE ONE-TO-ONE AGREEMENTS, MAA MUST TRY TO PLACE THE CHILDREN WITH FAMILIES WHO ARE MAA CLIENTS BEFORE RELEASING THEIR FILES TO OTHER AGENCIES. MAA must keep these One-to-One relationships with the orphanages intact in order to help more children.

My first post!

Well, here it is!

My new Adoption Advocate Blog!

I have been wanting to help in this way for quite a long time now and just not sure how to go about it.

Another Adoptive momma and OLF (on-line friend) has a wonderful site called, Wonderful Waiting Kids

Back in April 2010, she put the word out, there was a 10 year old boy with mild CP wanting a family of his own.  So of course I had to go see who she was talking about and it turned out it was the boy that was to become our son, Michael!

So here I am wanting to do the same, to help in anyway I can, to unite children with their Forever Families!
