Russ has recovered well after surgery. He is a clever, active and quick-mined little boy. He enjoys school and works very hard to complete his homework. He pays attention to control his movements, but his hands usually tremble in spite of himself. He insists on using chopsticks to pick up beans, rice and soya beans, and to turn pages of books, tear newspaper, and write Chinese characters to train the fine motor development of his hands.

He is familiar with the environment of the orphanage, and knows the welfare institute is the place he lives and studies now. 

He is very happy, and has a lot of friends to study and play games with. He likes playing chess, and likes remote control toys. He also enjoys sports and singing. He gets along well with teachers in this institute. Russ has stated that he wants to have a family of his own and live in another country. When people come to the orphanage to visit, he is friendly and asks them to take photos with him.

He has good self-care ability in his life, is willing to help others do some things he can do. All of us like to stay with him, praise him to be a bright and sensible and good child.

Solomon is a very happy boy. He was eager to catch our attention and say hello to everyone. His caregivers state that he is outgoing and gets along well with his peers. They also stated that he acts out at times. 

Solomon was part of the Sunshine Academy and now attends the Special Education school in the orphanage. 

He loved the fishing activity at the park because his favorite animal is a fish! He was very determined to catch as many fish as he could.

Gary is fairly extroverted and is not very fond of laughing. But he is willing to communicate and chat with others and likes to sing. He is a sensible boy. He gets along very well with children both in yard and preschool classmates. 

In order to have a more loving and warm family for Gary, we asked if he is interested in foreign adoption. But he seems to be not very clear about it. We asked him if he wants a new father and mother, he nodded and agreed. 

Teachers always introduce for him about the foreign adoption and show him some children’s photos that have been adopted. He likes it very much and also admires them. He wants a family like so.

David is outgoing, clever and lovely; he is getting along with others well and can get along well with other children; his favorite activity is bouncing the ball and his favorite toy is Ultraman toy; when someone plays seesaw and slide he will be happier.

He is fond of listening to music; under the guidance of teacher, he can do morning excise following the music, and do some simple dance movements; he is happy to help others and knows to care about others; he is willing to help someone do something small what he can do. 

Under the care and loving of everyone, he grows healthily and happily. Everyone expects he gains parents’ loving and has a happy family soon.

Zane lives in the home of the preschool children. He is potty-trained but needs reminding at night. He can dress himself and help with chores. He goes to a special class with other children. He can speak words and phrases, but cannot speak clearly. He can say “thanks”, and also can count to 5. The teacher says he behaves well in the class. 

His imitating ability is good. In class, he can answer the questions and can finish his work with help. In the outdoor activity, he can walk on the rocking bridge, and he likes sliding.

Jeremy is a smart, adorable child. He is introverted and likes to smile. Jeremy most likes to slide on the slide. Each time the nanny takes him to play, he is extremely happy.

Bobby can walk while pushing a child’s car and walk for a short distance without help. He knows to change direction when he meets obstacles. He often takes a toy out of the cabinet and plays with it. He likes toys that make sounds and knows to put small blocks into a big jar; then he shakes the jar to make a sound, and he giggles. If other children grab his toy, he pushes them away, and blames them by imitating the adults. 

Bobby is fond of imitating and making faces. Bobby is active, outgoing, and energetic. He likes playing games with adults. He likes listening to music, and taking part in outdoor activities.

He can point to nose, ears, head, hand and foot when asked. He knows to put food into his mouth. The caretakers love him!!

Bobby has participated in the Half the Sky program and attended the Sunshine Academy.
